This site is maintained by Julie Schillreff, Weezie Hood, and Mike Rawert as a means to raise money for two of their students, Katerin and Ivan. Weezie taught at the Alison Bixby Stone School in Honduras during the 2007-2008 school year before returning to the US to pursue a teaching career in North Carolina. Julie taught alongside Weezie during the 2007-2008 school year, and Mike joined the ABSS staff in 2008. Both Mike and Julie continue to teach at ABSS today. In their time at ABSS, Weezie, Julie, and Mike fell in love with many students, including Ivan and Katerin. Today, they are dedicated to ensuring that both Katerin and Ivan can continue their education at a quality bilingual secondary school. This blog is their voice.
